What You’ll Make

Attendees will create a woven palm frond hat using traditional-style folding, weaving, and shaping techniques.

The finished hat is wearable, photogenic, and built for the Hukilau setting: poolside, beachside, or anywhere that needs a little handmade tropical flair.

Hands-On Workshop

This is a practical, make-and-take class. Tom Fowner will walk guests through the basic structure, weave pattern, and shaping needed to form a finished palm frond hat.

No prior weaving experience is required. The class is designed for guests who want a relaxed creative session and a finished piece they can actually use.
